How to force Windows manage the Wifi network instead of 3rd Party

May 19, 2011 at 6:08 PM

I am using Managed Wifi in our application to provide Wifi functionality to the users.

As you may already know, one of the limitation of this library is that, windows must manage the wifi instead of 3rd party software such as Intel Wireless Pro OR Verizon Access Manager etc.,

I was wondering if there is a way programatically (C# .Net) force the windows to manage the wifi instead of 3rd party software. I know this requires starting "Wireless Zero Configuration" service. But that alone is not enough, looks like, I also need to change few registry setting to let Windows manage the wifi.

I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions to acheive this task? I appreciate any suggestions/ code samples.

Thanks Sreeram
